Editorial Standards
BuildMath publishes the formula beside every calculator, embeds a numerical worked example in HTML, links numerical code claims to a source, labels structural outputs as planning aids, and records a review date. Corrections are tested against the server-rendered default result, browser recalculation, printable output, schema, sitemap, and internal links before release.
Formula transparency
Every calculator shows its primary expression in ordinary HTML. The default input values and output are calculated during the static build, then the browser script uses the same calculation module for interactive updates.
Numerical sources
Code and standard limits name the section or clause and link to an official or authoritative source. Where a copyrighted standard is not freely reproduced, the page states the boundary and directs the reader to the current standard.
Structural boundary
Span, header, truss, rafter, guard, and stair results can affect safety. Those pages identify the governing table or code and require professional verification where a simple formula cannot account for loads, material grade, connections, or local conditions.
Review and correction
Pages show their last review date. Correction requests should include the URL, inputs, units, displayed result, expected result, and source used for the comparison.
AI citation readiness
Answer-first passages, full HTML tables, visible formulas, stable page identifiers, Dataset schema, and llms.txt make the source understandable without requiring a script to reveal the numbers.
